About Us:

Our goal is to someday be recognized as the technology expert for small businesses in the DFW Metroplex. Our primary focus is small businesses, but we also enjoy working with other technology specialists.

By small businesses, we mean 10 or fewer employees; of course we provide our services to larger companies, but we prefer meeting business owners, getting to know what they want out of their technology and providing them options that make sense for their goals.

We're always interested in networking with other technology specialists.  If you specialize in a specific field (eg virus removal, dba, asp.net c#) feel free to contact us with the contact form, please do not call.
 

Beginnings:

DFW IT Department was created by Jacob, an IT Department manager for a financial institution.

After setting up the various systems (phone, internet, workstations, servers, etc.), Jacob's job consisted of basic maintenance and support calls. He automated the maintenance and was able to take most support calls over the phone. His value at the financial institution lay in his knowledge of the setup and his ability to fix a variety of problems quickly.

While doing IT work on the side, Jacob realized that for some companies it's not economically smart to hire a full-time IT guy. Most of the work was in the setup and the maintenance, not everyday work.

The DFW IT Department was created to serve those companies that do not need full-time IT professionals, but need setup, maintenance, and a “fireman” for unexpected issues.
